1. Who processes your data
The data controller is the music ensemble Big Band Karlovy Vary, represented by bandleader Zdeněk Krám.

The orchestra has not appointed a data protection officer — the scope of processing does not require one.
2. What data we process
The bigbandkv.cz website has no registration or order form. We only receive data when you contact us yourself, or in anonymous form from traffic measurement.

3. Why we process data and on what basis
- Responding to enquiries and arranging performances — the legal basis is pre-contractual negotiation and performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Accounting and statutory duties — the legal basis is compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Website analytics — only on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time in the cookie settings.
4. How long we keep data
- An enquiry that did not lead to cooperation — no longer than 12 months from the last communication.
- Data on a performance that took place — for the duration of the cooperation and then for the statutory retention period for accounting records.
- Analytics consent — for the validity period of the consent, at most 12 months, or until it is withdrawn.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data and do not pass it to anyone for marketing purposes. To the necessary extent it may be accessed by:
- the e-mail and web hosting provider (the site runs on GitHub Pages),
- an accountant and tax adviser as part of bookkeeping,
- public authorities, where required by law.
Fonts are hosted on our own website, so no third party is contacted because of them. A connection to Google servers is made only when you choose to play a YouTube video; Google may then process your IP address under its own policy. Video thumbnails load without cookies and the video only starts after you click.
6. Cookies
The site uses only essential cookies, which remember your choice in the cookie banner, and — if you allow them — analytics cookies for anonymous traffic statistics. We do not use marketing cookies yet.
You can change your choice at any time.

We publish photographs and recordings from the orchestra's public performances. This is editorial and promotional use of material from public events. If you appear in a photograph and do not wish to, write to us and we will remove it without undue delay.
8. Your rights
In relation to your personal data you have the right:
- of access to the data and to a copy of it,
- to rectification of inaccurate data,
- to erasure (the "right to be forgotten"),
- to restriction of processing,
- to data portability,
- to object to processing,
- to withdraw consent where processing is based on it.

9. Changes to this policy
We may adjust this policy from time to time — for example when we add a new website feature. The current version is always on this page together with the date of the last update.
