Who plays in the Jazz Combo
The Jazz Combo is roughly a half-size line-up of Big Band Karlovy Vary:
- rhythm section — piano, bass and drums,
- horns — tenor saxophone, alto saxophone, trombone and trumpet,
- vocals.
The key point is that the horns stay. It is the trumpet, trombone and two saxophones that give swing its typical sound — and that is what sets the Jazz Combo apart from an ordinary four-piece band.
When to choose the Jazz Combo
- a smaller ball or social evening where the full orchestra would not fit in the hall,
- a corporate party for dozens rather than hundreds of guests,
- events with a limited budget where you want to keep the quality of live horns.
The terms are the same as for the orchestra
We play the same 2–3 sets of 40 minutes with twenty-minute breaks. About half the space of the full orchestra is enough. For a smaller event we can provide the sound with our own top-quality equipment. The price is prepared on request for the specific event.
For large balls and galas we recommend the full orchestra — the difference between eight and twenty musicians can be heard in a large hall.
